Through our partnerships with Access2Learn and Access Support Apprentices, Pro-AT Group helps training providers identify support needs early and put practical, personalised support in place.
From free initial screening and needs assessment to assistive technology, specialist human support and clear evidence of delivery, the pathway is coordinated around the apprentice - making support easier to access, use and manage.
The pathway begins with free online screening delivered by Access2Learn. It helps identify apprentices who may have an additional learning need, disability or barrier that could affect their training or workplace learning.
Where screening identifies a potential need, Access2Learn can provide diagnostic or detailed needs assessment, where appropriate. The assessment explores how the apprentice learns, the barriers they experience and the support that could help.
Assistive Technology tools such as Pro-Study, Lernabl & Study Agent support different parts of the apprentice experience. The aim is not simply to provide software. It is to match practical technology to the apprentice's needs, tasks and working environment.
Assistive technology works best when apprentices understand how to apply it in real situations. The wider partnership can provide assistive technology training, one-to-one learning coaching, specialist study skills support and mentoring.
Support delivery can be coordinated and recorded using the Touch Point system. Sessions can be logged and signed off by the apprentice, with clear records of engagement, delivery dates and itemised invoicing.
Every apprentice will experience different challenges. Some need a better way to manage information and evidence. Others need help retaining new knowledge, planning their learning or working through a task when the next step is unclear.
Our three products address these different needs while working well together as part of one connected support package. Find out more below:

Apprentices gather information from many places: websites, PDFs, Word documents, textbooks, videos, images, online journals, training resources and workplace activities. Keeping track of it all can be difficult, particularly when working memory, organisation or cognitive overload is a barrier.

Pro-Study brings this information into one central, structured workspace. Apprentices can capture useful content as visual Research Tiles, organise it using colour-coded categories and tags, and filter their view to find what they need quickly. Each tile links back to its original source, with captured text highlighted, making information easier to relocate and check.
The Project Assist companion app extends this support into practical and workplace settings. Apprentices can capture photographs, notes, observations and evidence while carrying out hands-on tasks, workplace learning or off-site activities, then keep that material organised within the relevant project.

An apprenticeship involves building and applying new knowledge over time, from technical terminology and workplace procedures to course content and preparation for end-point assessment. Apprentices may understand information when it is first introduced but find it difficult to retain, retrieve or use later.

Lernabl is a personalised assistive technology study platform that gives apprentices multiple ways to work with their own learning materials. Resources can be turned into Topic Cards and used across more than 11 study methods, including flashcards, fill-in-the-blanks and Cornell Notes.
Methods are organised around Focus Areas such as memory retention, comprehension and creative thinking. This helps apprentices choose a study approach that responds to the difficulty they are experiencing rather than relying on one generic method.
Lernabl also includes a personalised Study Planner, helping apprentices schedule learning around work commitments, training sessions and assessment deadlines. Mock Exams enable them to check their knowledge, identify gaps and build confidence through practice.

Support needs do not only arise during a scheduled training, coaching or mentoring session. An apprentice may become stuck while using assistive technology, planning a task, interpreting an instruction or managing a period of overwhelm. Waiting for the next one-to-one session can interrupt momentum.

Study Agent is an on-demand support platform that provides clear, structured guidance tailored to the apprentice's needs, preferences and current task. Apprentices can ask a question or upload a screenshot for more context-specific help, then receive manageable steps that help them decide what to do next.
It can guide apprentices through assistive technology features, help them choose the right tool for a task, troubleshoot difficulties and put training strategies into practice. It can also support wider learning and workplace challenges such as planning, organisation, focus, task initiation, time management and understanding instructions.
The experience can adapt the structure, pace and complexity of its responses, with accessible options including audio support and predictable, easy-to-follow steps. Study Agent provides strategy-based guidance rather than completing an apprentice's work, helping protect academic integrity while building independence.

Access Support Apprentices brings the wider pathway together. It coordinates access to assessment, assistive technology, training and specialist Non-Medical Help, including mentoring and study skills support. Its Touch Point system provides structured records of delivery, apprentice sign-off and itemised invoicing, helping training providers maintain clear, audit-ready evidence.

Pro-AT Group develops the purpose-built technology at the centre of the apprentice's day-to-day support. Pro-Study, Lernabl and Study Agent help turn recommendations into practical action - supporting apprentices to organise, learn, apply strategies and work more independently. We also provide face-to-face assistive technology training through our sister company STAT Northern.
